
This white mug, handmade by the residents of the ceramic workshop, features the insignia of the 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion (13e DBLE), a legendary regiment of the Foreign Legion. With its distinctive insignia depicting a hand holding a sword, the 13e DBLE embodies the spirit of the Foreign Legion, with its values of discipline, courage, and loyalty to the mission and comrades. Today, it remains a benchmark unit, composed of legionnaires ready to take on the most extreme challenges.

The 13th DBLE was formed in 1949, in the post-war period, and was engaged in combat missions from its inception, notably distinguishing itself during the famous Battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, a decisive turning point in the Indochina War. The regiment continued to make history through its commitment, serving in various theaters of operation around the world, notably in Africa and the Middle East.
